Katakolo is the terminal port for travelers wanting to visit the important archaeological site of Ancient Olympia, the place where the first Olympic Games in history took place. Also, the beaches around Katakolo are among the most beautiful beaches in the Peloponnese, some of them are Dozi, Renata, Agios Elias, Alkiona, Avra, Kavouri Levendohori.
