KinderDocs: International Documentary Festival for children and young audiences

Benaki Complex, Piraeus Museum

KinderDocs is back for it’s 3rd edition from October 2018 at the Benaki Museum/ Pireos Annexe.  In this year’s programme 15 documentaries from 9 countries invite us to discover the magic of documentaries. The festival is addressed to children aged 9+ and young persons, as well as university students, educators, parents and documentary buffs. The programme includes documentary screenings followed by discussions and/or other activities on Wednesdays for schools* and Sundays for families and the public at large.

KinderDocs is a new channel for communication and exchange between young people and adults through activities inspired by the art of storytelling and documentary filmmaking. Each screening is followed by a discussion with distinguished guests. Lasting between 90 and 120 minutes, screenings and events take place on weekdays for schools and on weekends for the public.

Production by Kouzi Productions in collaboration with the Benaki Museum 138 Pireos  and the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art. With the support of idfa, the world’s largest documentary film festival that takes place in Amsterdam every year, and doxs!, the oldest and most important German festival for documentaries for children and young audiences.

All KinderDocs are screened in their original language and subtitled in Greek
