LESVOS Port of Mytilene Lesvos is the third largest island of Greece and the seventh in the Mediterranean, while the main port is Mytilene, the capital city of the island. The port of Mytilene belongs to the Extensive Trans-European Network and has a 220m length and 9.4m depth pier, with capacity to accommodate 1 cruise ship. Since 2010, there is a tourist boat shelter (marina), with a capacity of 222 berths, inside the port. It is well protected from the weather, providing safe docking, while the “Odysseas Elytis” international airport of the island is located 8km from the port. The port operates a fully integrated security system based on an approved Port Facility Security Plan, in accordance with the ISPS Security Code.
